I’m so excited to finally introduce Octavia’s first pattern!
Pomegranate is a really simple and quick to make bias cut top. There are just two pieces, no darts, no closures, and it looks beautiful on all body shapes! If you’ve not tried bias cutting before, this is a great introductory project to learn a new skill.
To make pomegranate choose a lightweight fabric with lots of drape – chiffon, crepe, satin and viscose/rayon are all great choices.
We’ve put together a video tutorial on how to use PDF patterns, our top tips on cutting and sewing bias cut fabric and will be releasing a video tutorial on constructing Pomegranate from start to finish soon.
Pomegranate is available in sizes 6 – 20, and has been tested in all sizes.
Here’s what our pattern testers said:
“Pomegranate is a fabulous top and, thanks to its simple construction, one that you can whip up easily in an afternoon. The cowl isn’t too big or deep which makes it very appealing. It’s perfect as a casual top or a more formal occasion depending on your fabric choice.” – Claire at I Want To Be A Turtle
“With only two pattern pieces and recommended fabrics which aren’t too slinky, it’s a great first project for someone wanting to try a bias cut garment. I love the sleeve – a feminine but also practical design, and a very flattering cut as well.” – Melanie at Following The Thread
To celebrate the launch we’re offering 20% off for the first week of release!
